Collaborative Work

As well as working as an independent designer, I am experienced in collaborative projects, and in projects where I am required to work as a design assistant. I find collaborative work to be enjoyable, and have witnessed ideas being pushed further and becoming stronger as more ideas are thought over by a group of people rather than an individual. The work shown below are two different projects which I have worked on with a design team, or as a design assistant.

Back to School

(Created and directed by Clementine Wade for Edinburgh Fringe)

Back to School is an interactive performance by Clementine Wade for which I helped to turn Braidwood Community Centre in Edinburgh in to a failing comprehensive school. The audience were led around the school and attended several different chaotic lessons. The photographs below show the art and science classrooms, which are the two main rooms I helped to dress.

The National Museum of Luketia

(Created and directed by Jonathan Kaufman for Sydenham Arts Council)

The National Museum of Luketia was an interactive installation by Jonathan Kaufman, using two small back rooms of a shop on Sydenham High Street as the venue. The country of Luketia was fictional, allowing a lot of leeway in the design process. I helped to set dress the venue (including making passages and rooms to break up the space) and designed and made props which were used in the exhibits.
